Rules

The Start and Finish are on Cedar Island

Start will be at Cedar Island Launch Ramp.  

Transit your best course to Shackleford Banks.

Round the Island. 

and make your best speed back to Cedar Island Start/Finish

 

If you Die.  Its your own fault.

This is an unsupported race.  There is no committee boat.  No rescue team. 

You are on your own, to complete the race.  Double check your insurance.

 

Rules
Boat Type Allowed

Any vessel that can be launched from the high water mark on the beach by its crew without outside assistance is allowed.  (small sail boats, kayaks, etc.) 

No motorized propulsion allowed. (Sails and paddles are accepted)

 

Self Supported

You must pack all equipment and food/water/shelter for the duration of your trip in your vessel.   

 

Required Equipment

There are several pieces of required equipment for both communication with the fleet and your basic safety.

You must maintain a lawful status and not harm other individuals property or the environment.  (no littering)
